This is the first piece of a new series inspired by the french style of trembleurs but interpreted in an organic way. This piece was first turned in a trunk of hackberry with a very straight grain for shaping the two leaves on each side. Then the stem between was first turned then carved to follow the grain, and finally steam bent. Then I made a fine texture inspirde by the kelp forests in the sea.
